Our Lifetime Structural Frame Warranty
For the purposes of this warranty, "Lifetime" means the reasonable serviceable life of the furniture under normal domestic residential use. It does not mean the lifetime of the original purchaser. The expected serviceable life of furniture will depend upon factors such as its construction, materials, frequency of use and the care it receives.
The Lifetime Structural Frame Warranty applies only to qualifying products where the warranty is expressly stated at the time of purchase and is available only to the original retail purchaser. The warranty is non-transferable.
Making a warranty claim
In the unlikely event that you experience a structural problem with your furniture, please contact our Customer Care team.
To help us review your claim, we may ask you to provide:
- Your order number
- Proof of purchase
- A description of the issue
- Photographs or videos showing the affected area
Where proof of purchase is unavailable, we may, at our discretion, accept other reasonable evidence that the furniture was purchased from Designer Sofas Group Ltd.
We reserve the right to inspect the furniture, either in your home or at another appropriate location, before accepting or rejecting any warranty claim.
Our team will assess the information provided and may arrange for the furniture to be inspected by an approved technician where this is considered necessary.
Where a valid claim is confirmed, Designer Sofas Group Ltd will determine, in conjunction with the relevant manufacturer where appropriate, the most suitable remedy. Depending on the circumstances, this may include a repair, replacement components, replacement of the affected furniture or another appropriate solution.
Where identical replacement parts or products are no longer available, we reserve the right to provide an alternative remedy of comparable quality, functionality and value.
All claims are subject to the full terms and conditions of the Lifetime Structural Frame Warranty.

Guardsman Furniture Protection
Additional protection for everyday accidents
Although our Lifetime Structural Frame Warranty protects the structural foundations of your furniture, it does not cover the accidental spills, stains and damage that can happen during everyday life.
For additional peace of mind, we offer Guardsman Furniture Protection Plans on selected products.
Guardsman has been protecting, caring for and repairing furniture for more than 100 years. Its protection plans are designed to help you relax and enjoy your new furniture, knowing that professional support may be available when an unexpected accident occurs.
How do I purchase Guardsman protection?
Guardsman protection is optional and is available at an additional cost on selected furniture.
A member of our showroom team will explain the available protection plan, its duration, key benefits and exclusions before you purchase. Your cover will be governed by the policy documents supplied with your plan.

Making a Guardsman claim
If you have purchased a Guardsman Furniture Protection Plan and need to make a claim, please contact Guardsman directly using its online claims service.
You will normally need your policy details, information about the incident and photographs of the affected furniture.
Claims must be reported in accordance with the timescales and conditions stated within your policy documents.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is every part of my furniture covered for life?
No. The Lifetime Structural Frame Warranty applies specifically to qualifying frames and structural components. Upholstery, cushion interiors, moving mechanisms, electrical parts and cosmetic finishes may be covered for a different period under the relevant manufacturer's warranty.
Does the Lifetime Structural Frame Warranty cover accidental damage?
No. Accidental damage, spills, stains, scratches and burns are not included within the Lifetime Structural Frame Warranty. Optional Guardsman Furniture Protection may provide additional cover for eligible incidents, subject to the policy purchased.
Is Guardsman protection included automatically?
No. Guardsman protection is an optional insurance product available at an additional cost on selected furniture. It must be purchased in accordance with the terms explained at the point of sale.
What should I do if I notice a structural problem?
Please contact our Customer Care team as soon as possible. Have your order number and proof of purchase available, along with photographs or videos of the issue.
Do I need to keep my receipt?
Yes. We recommend keeping your receipt or proof of purchase, order confirmation and any warranty or protection-plan documents in a safe place. If these are unavailable, we may accept other reasonable evidence of purchase where appropriate.
Does the warranty affect my legal rights?
No. This Lifetime Structural Frame Warranty is provided in addition to, and does not limit or affect, your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.

The Designer Sofas Group Ltd Lifetime Structural Frame Warranty and Guardsman Furniture Protection Plan are separate forms of protection.
The Lifetime Structural Frame Warranty is provided by Designer Sofas Group Ltd and applies to qualifying frames and structural components. Guardsman Furniture Protection is an optional insurance product governed by separate policy terms, conditions, exclusions and eligibility requirements.
